UAC recognizes the importance of our student's professional development and community involvement. Every semester the Student Services Department align with the Academic Department coordinates workshops and community activities for our students. Through university activities such as workshops, we aim to show our student population the importance of certain key aspects that translate into success and career opportunities.

We aim to promote the students' knowledge regarding subject matters being discussed in their courses. Workshops scheduled address topics such as Entrepreneurship, Leadership, How to Start a Business, Business Etiquette, among others. This past Saturday March 7th, 2015 we hosted a workshop conducted by Cornell Crews from Partners for Self Employment. The workshop addressed Financial Literacy and Business. Students actively participated on this workshop which emphasized on the resources available within the community for those individuals with business ideas. Our next workshop (How to start your own Business?) would be on Saturday March 21st, 2015 at 10:30. This event is open to all members of our community.

As part of the strategies to promote our students overall development, we aim to incorporate writing and interviewing skills seminars to enhance those skills. UAC understands that aside from the skills students can gain on their classes, workshops and community events expose them to other perspectives within their field of studies. Components such as networking, marketing and social media represent an important part of their development as future leaders in the current market. UAC also, promotes social responsibility as a key trait for the future business professional's success. This component is aligned to our foundations as a higher education institution. UAC will continue to work on its effort to promote our student academic and professional success. We recognize that our student's success is a reflection of our efforts and commitment towards the development of the future leaders of the world.
